Worshipping Without Walls Ministry started in 2002. The Lord laid in Bettina's heart to start a ministry to encourage Christians to worship God in freedom in Christ without any hindrance, thus worshipping without walls. It began with an email address and as her friends witnessed God’s works, they encouraged her to apply to make it a legal organization. Later on, her husband, Apollo, joined her in August 2006, 5 months after they married. The couple continues to be sensitive to God's direction for their lives. By God’s grace, they minister effectively alongside small churches, Christian schools and organizations in the Philippines in areas of worship, discipleship, leadership & missions training.
In October, 2011, things developed in what we can only describe as Divine intervention: a partnership was forged between the Malaits and LifeStream Worship Center – Renton/Seattle! We praise God for this opportunity and Bettina submitted into membership with LifeStream, and consequently agreeing for the Malaits to function as LifeStream Worship Center’s Missionary Liaisons in Cebu where God has strategically situated their ministry.
As Missionary Liaisons in Cebu:
- Apollo and Bettina will assist Lifestream Worship Center in future mission projects in the Eastern Visayas Region.
- Whenever Lifestream members and ministry workers are in Cebu, they are welcome to stay in the Dove Home, a ministry house belonging to the Malaits, for purposes of spiritual retreats, mission exposure trainings, etc.
- As invited, the Malaits will continue working with different denominations in areas of discipleship, equipping and helping small churches, schools and organizations in areas of need as they currently do.
- The Malaits agree to put themselves under the leadership and covering of Pastor Art Pena of LifeStream for purposes of accountability.
Lifestream Worship Center also starts to receive love gifts and donations for tax-deduction purposes on behalf of the ministry of the Malaits. LifeStream agrees to deposit such funds to the church’s Mission account, disburse said funds accordingly and issue receipts to donors.
